Professor Eldabe was appointed Consultant in Pain Medicine at the James Cook University Hospital in 1997 and as Professor of Pain Medicine and Anaesthesia at Durham University in 2014. He is currently affiliated with the University of Warwick.

Professor Eldabe has medicolegal practice in Middlesbrough, as well as Harley Street, London, and has many years of experience in the NHS as a Consultant in Pain Medicine. In 2002, he decided to divide his professional time between the NHS and his role as Chief of the Pain Modulation Service at the Hospital De Morgues in Switzerland.
Interventional treatment for chronic pain provides the main focus of Professor Eldabe’s work. He has extensive experience in such treatments as spinal cord stimulation and intrathecal drug delivery, for the treatment of cancer pain. He is experienced in treating low back pain and, specifically, pain resulting from spinal cord injury. He is also experienced in the treatment of persistent post- spinal surgery pain, as well complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS).
Professor Eldabe is an established medical expert with over many years of experience in providing expert evidence for the courts. He joined Pain Expert in April 2015.
